Estate 98 Brings a New Kind of Espresso Liqueur to Miami
Estate 98 Licor de Café Especial
A new craft spirits brand with deep Salvadoran roots is making its debut in Miami. Estate 98, founded by brothers Andres and Jose Larin, has launched Estate 98 Licor de Café Especial, an espresso liqueur designed to bring authentic single-estate coffee flavor to cocktails without the need for a fresh espresso shot.
Blending six generations of coffee growing heritage with modern extraction technology, Estate 98’s first release promises a richer, more complex coffee profile than traditional liqueurs. The spirit is available for online purchase in 45 states, with an in store rollout beginning across Miami.
An Espresso Liqueur From Seed To Bottle
Estate 98’s flavor begins on the slopes of El Salvador’s Santa Ana Volcano, where the Larin family has cultivated coffee since 1798. Their land, known as El Noventa y Ocho, is recognized for its volcanic soil, high elevation, and ideal microclimate. The result is a distinct single estate coffee that anchors the liqueur’s profile.
The beans are shade grown, hand harvested, honey processed, and sun dried on traditional clay patios before being roasted to highlight notes of dark chocolate, roasted espresso, and subtle tangerine acidity. A proprietary extraction method produces an ultra concentrated Esencia de Café, which is then blended with neutral cane spirit and a hint of natural vanilla.
The finished product is lower in sugar (less than 1 gram per serving), full bodied, and intensely coffee forward, with more caffeine than any other coffee liqueur currently on the market. At 25% ABV, it is designed to be both sippable and versatile behind the bar.
Solving Real Challenges for Bartenders
Beyond its flavor, Estate 98 was created as a practical upgrade for cocktail programs. Because the liqueur carries the strength and freshness of espresso on its own, bars and restaurants can eliminate the need for an espresso machine during service, reducing equipment costs, maintenance, and prep time.
According to the founders, venues can expect up to 90 percent savings in prep time and one to three dollars in savings per drink, along with consistent texture and crema in every pour.
“Estate 98 is more than a coffee liqueur. It is the culmination of over two centuries of knowledge and respect for the land,” said co founder Andres Larin. “We wanted the coffee to shine instead of the sugar, while creating something that truly elevates coffee cocktails.”
Co founder Jose Larin adds: “With Estate 98, crafting a premium coffee cocktail is effortless. Shake it with ice and your favorite spirit for a naturally creamy, frothy finish every time.”
